About Me
- Sarah Hynek
- I am a Canadian currently living in Scotland. I moved to the UK initially to pursue graduate work at the University of Oxford and am now a PhD student based in Scotland. Over the past few years I've lived in England, Scotland and Egypt, and continue visiting Canada frequently. This is really just a diary of photographs highlighting some of the places I've visited since moving to the UK. Photography allows me to savour my surroundings and reflect on my experiences more vividly. If you have any questions please send me an email: sarah.hynek@gmail.com

A magic family holiday: Northern Ireland and Scotland (II)
I will forever be thankful for the incredible time (and weather!) we had in Northern Ireland along the Antrim Coast. This was the place where my grandma spent her summers as a child and it was pretty spectacular to revisit the beaches she played on, and the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and Giant's Causeway.

A magic family holiday: Northern Ireland and Scotland (I)
My parents came to visit us recently for another truly memorable holiday adventure. After a day in Glasgow we headed down to Cairnryan in southwest Scotland to catch the ferry to Belfast. These photos document our first days in Belfast and the surrounding area. Firstly, Scrabo Tower and the views looking down from the top, next a shot of one of the Belfast murals, and finally Mount Stewart and its perfect gardens complete with family of friendly swans.
